The Seedfield Place offers a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment designed to meet the needs of young people in our care. The home has three dedicated bedrooms for young people, each fully furnished with a bed, appropriate furniture, lockable storage, and thoughtfully decorated with bed linen and blinds. Bedrooms are lockable from the inside with a thumb lock and from the outside with a key, ensuring both privacy and safety, while staff retain access in case of emergencies. Each young person is provided with their own key where appropriate. In addition, one bedroom has been converted into a staff office, which also accommodates a staff member during the night, and another bedroom is designated solely for staff sleep-ins.
To maintain the highest standards of safety, both the front and rear doors are fitted with alarms to alert staff of any entry or exit, while evacuation route lights in the ceiling guide everyone to the nearest exit in the event of a fire. Bedroom doors can also be fitted with alarms, if required, based on individual risk assessments and care plans. All doors throughout the property are fire rated in line with current legislation. The staff office contains a secure medication cabinet to safely store young people’s medication.
Communal areas include a welcoming kitchen, a lounge, and a dining/games room, creating spaces for relaxation, socialisation, and shared activities. The home also provides one shower room with W.C on the first floor, along with two additional W.C and shower rooms on the ground floor for convenience. Outside, there are gardens to the front and rear of the property, offering safe outdoor space for leisure and play, as well as a parking space at the rear for staff and visitors.
At The Seedfield Place, we ensure every detail of the home supports the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of the young people, while also providing professional facilities for staff to deliver high-quality care.
